The Natural Institute of Medical Herbalists was established in 1864. It is the world’s oldest body of practicing medical herbalists and it sets high standards for membership. Medical herbalists with the letters MNIMH after their name are members in good standing. Bev Maya has been a member since 2000.
American Herbalists Guild
The American Herbalists Guild is a non-profit organization that represents herbal practitioners. Bev has been a professional member since 2003.

Westcoast Women’s Centre for Midlife Health is an independent clinic in Vancouver, B.C., which has a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Bev is the centre’s natural medicine practitioner.
Dr. Anita Tannis
Anita is a medical doctor (McMaster University, 1990) and family physician. Over the past 18 years Anita has integrated conventional western family medicine practices with natural medicine tools such as acupuncture and hypnosis, tai chi/qi gong, yoga, and Insight Based Meditation.
Paul Pitchford studied and apprenticed with masters of pre-Revolutionary* Traditional Chinese medicine, nutrition, and Tai Ji and Chan (Zen) meditation. The environmental working group is a non-profit organization which serves as our “watchdog” for environment concerns in everyday life. Its cosmetic database called “skin deep” ranks name brand products for safety based on the inclusion of harmful chemicals.
